The Futureworks Flintshire were busy this month, shouting about what they do!
In May they attended the ‘Flint Regeneration Information Event’ on 19th May, as well as the ‘Parc Adfer: Construction Phase Jobs Fair’ on 23rd May.
Working with Wates, the Flint Regeneration Information Event was held to showcase the new building developments in Flint. The public, along with partners, were invited to come along to find out more about The Walks housing scheme, the new Extra Care Facility and the new Medical Centre that are in development.
At ‘Parc Adfer’, the construction contractors involved with Parc Adfer Energy Recovery Facility, CNIM and Clugston, held a Jobs Fair to showcase potential employment opportunities during the three-year construction phase of the facility. The event was a drop-in session, open to anyone interested in finding out more about the trades that will be on site and register interest in any potential employment opportunities during the construction phase of the Parc Adfer facility.
On top of our involvement with these event, Futureworks Flintshire also hosted a breakfast event to promote the excellent work that they do. This event was held in partnership with the Lift Project and Services to Business with Flintshire County Council. Aimed at the Social Housing organisations across North Wales, and their contractors, the event was well attended. The team met some fantastic people, and were able to build relationships with new contacts where they hope to create new opportunities in the future.
