Let’s show cancer we mean business!

Futureworks Yorkshire are proud to be sponsoring a Macmillan Coffee Morning and Bake Sale, on Saturday 1st October, at The Poplar Pub, Church Road, Altofts, Normanton……… And our very own Julie Deeley is going to be donning her apron to brew teas and coffees on the day!

In its second year, organisers are hopeful that once again they will have people queuing out of the door… all so that they can have their cake and eat it! It is also a child friendly event with face-painting, glitter tattoos and a children’s cake stall

And of course, there is one very important reason for doing this. There are now 2.5 million people in the UK living with cancer and by 2030 it is anticipated that it will be 4 million people. Organisations and people across the UK participate in Macmillan’s Coffee mornings, and all donations made are sent to Macmillan to help support those living with Cancer, ensuring no one faces it alone.

So, what can you do?

  • Firstly you can pop down to the Poplar pub on Saturday 1st October from 11am see our Julie… and buy some cake and raffle tickets.
  • Donate some prizes for the raffle.
  • Host your very own Coffee Morning!
