It’s no April Fools… it’s been a busy month again!

We just wanted to share a few little highlights of the month of April….

Once again we have been out and about as we attended the Wakefield School Heads Conference, which took place in York. There we presented about the importance of apprenticeships as part of the school workforce.

There was also our time at Minsthorpe Academy in South Elmsall, supporting young people with their academic qualifications. Our time here continues to highlight the importance of bringing the world of work to schools to support skills development and knowledge building…. whilst also giving young people an insight into the industry, which will help them when they make career choices in the future.

We are also pleased to be able to advise after taking part in an options appraisal on behalf of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and the Leeds LEP, which looked at a number of different models for maximising the local employment opportunities associated with major capital schemes, we have been informed that one of the recommendations is to support the ‘organic growth’ of the Futureworks Yorkshire ‘YORfuture’ scheme. We are delighted by this news and we hope we can work as positively with other LEPs across the region.
