Thanks to all at the Great British Apprenticeship Challenge!

We had a fantastic time at the Great British Apprenticeship Challenge (#Gbac2017) at Unity Works on the 28th February. The event was incredibly busy, specially created to help young people, parents and employers understand the truth about apprenticeships, provided the perfect platform to showcase and highlight the opportunities they can bring to those looking at taking the next steps in their careers. The best way to promote apprenticeships as a valuable career choice to be hearing directly from the apprentices directly!

Hosted by legendary BBC Look North anchor Harry Gration, the event provided attendees with a chance to meet and talk directly to a Panel made up of young apprentices, together with people enjoying successful careers at the top of their professions after starting their working lives as apprentices. A massive well done to all involved.

The event could not have gone ahead without the huge support and sponsorship from Efficiency North Ltd. Efficiency North place importance in delivering “Social Value” and truly promote opportunities for young people.

The event was produced in conjunction with Chris Selby, MD at Company Training and Support Services (CTSS) and the audience and participants shared the following………..

“Thank you for having our team at such an amazing event, Loved every minute. We appreciate the opportunity that it gave not only to us but to the young people and business. Yes, if you have any events coming up which interact with business or young people we will be happy to help. Also I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone for making the event amazing!” Georgia Bruce, Business Admin Apprentice at Wakefield Council.

“Thought last night was excellent.  A best seller in terms of promoting apprenticeships.  Well-choreographed and of course well delivered by Harry.” Paul Forbes OBE

“Thanks a lot for inviting us last night. The young people that came with us gained a great deal for attending the debate.” Joe, Corpus Christi / Mount St Mary’s School Leeds

“It really was an excellent event in a chat show format where the apprentices were interviewed by Harry Gration and asked to explain more about their experiences of being an apprentice and sharing their views and opinions about apprenticeships generally. There were plenty of young people in the audience and feedback in connection with the event was very positive indeed. We were proud to sponsor this unique event.” Lee Parkinson (MCIPS MIoD), Chief Executive Officer, Efficiency North Limited

“Thanks for having me! Great event to promote & highlight opportunities apprenticeships encompass! Well done all!” Tasha via twitter

“Brilliant event at Unity tonight. Very informative and hopefully helped people on their employment journey.” Chris via twitter.

This round of the Great British Apprenticeship Challenge may be over but the challenge is not! So for those of you thinking of what to do next in your careers – take a look at the opportunities apprenticeships can bring you. And for businesses – now is your time to seek out talented, local young people, so why not offer an apprenticeship today?
