What a day on Tuesday! We all went along to Efficiency North‘s celebration of their 10 years of procurement best practice with added social value for Yorkshire & Humber… and to top it off one of our apprentices won the Trainee of the Year Award 2016. Well done to Bradley Sullivan, who works for MCP Environmental/Shoreline Housing as a Level 3 Technical Apprentice.
Our team went along to the day, at the National Coal Mining Museum, to hear about the work of Efficiency North over the past ten years, a keynote speech on the future for social housing procurement and building community pride and of course, one of our favourites…. partnership working! The Social Value Awards then followed and that’s where we got to celebrate Bradley’s success. As part of his award, Bradley also won £500 towards further training.
We also want to say well done to Artistic Spectrum, who were Highly Commended under the Community Initiative of the Year Award. The overall winner of the Community Initiative of the Year Award went to Edlington Community Organisation (ECO), winning £7,500. Both of these great projects scored highly, thus introducing the high commendation for Artistic Spectrum.
The day was finished off with a bit of an educational trip for our team as we were treated to a tour of the National Coal Mining Museum, learning about the history of coal mining. It was definitely worth the visit!
