CIOB event, the Celebrating Construction in South Yorkshire Awards 2014, raising the bar in South Yorkshire as winners are crowned at a Cutlers’ Hall Dinner attended by over 300 construction professionals and their guests.
On Friday 10th October, the seventh Celebrating Construction In South Yorkshire Awards dinner took place at the prestigious Cutlers’ Hall, Sheffield. Held by the Chartered Institute of Building working in collaboration with Little Spark, the event celebrated high quality work by South Yorkshire’s construction industry supply chain including developers, designers, builders and end-users, both large and small. The awards reflected the dynamic nature of the construction industry and highlighted the broad spectrum of construction excellence delivered by businesses working in the area. They demonstrated what can be achieved through strong partnerships, a clear vision and delivery through high quality implementation.
The CCISY awards promoted a range of different sectors essential to the delivery of innovative construction, from empowering communities through corporate social responsibility and investing in skills, to creating low carbon developments and being environmentally pro-active. The awards showed how the recession has helped to make companies aspire to very high standards, and produced 11 extremely well deserved winners who have continued to display excellent practices throughout this economically challenging past 12 months.
The Awards were open to organisations, both public and private; and also individuals located in and around South Yorkshire and whose business is related to construction. The award categories were chosen to reflect sensitive and diverse issues and matters current in a modern construction industry.
